MAHALO for joining us!
We had a wonderful day, celebrating our 76th year with all of you. Thank you for joining us to hear about our successes from the past year and what we are focusing on currently to protect Hawai‘i’s endangered and endemic species. Mahalo also to Hanalē Bishop for beautiful music while we enjoyed our brunch, catered by Fig & Ginger.
We were so moved and inspired by our guest speaker, James Morioka, and hearing about his passion and dedication to cleaning up and protecting not only Papahānaumokuākea, but our home islands as well, for our future generations. We were honored to present our Koa Award for Excellence in Conservation to 808 Cleanups for the work they have done here locally in removing debris and invasive species, and making it a community effort. Congratulations on a job well done!
We also had the opportunity to unveil our latest artwork to be used for our next educational wildlife poster, coming in 2027.
