Mashuri Waite, PhD, has a long research experience related to ecology of small islands in Hawai‘i. Mashuri has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for CCH. He is currently doing research in Java. He works independently as an experienced botanist, and worked with the Ko‘olau Mountain Watershed Partnership, as a Collections and Grounds Manager at the Lyon Arboretum, and also as a Research Assistant at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
